Orion Lab at Workshop "Satellite-based Services for Disaster Risk Management"

On 25 May 2022 Orion Lab is participating at the workshop "Satellite-based Services for Disaster Risk Management" organized at the Ministry for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection in Athens, Greece.

EUSPA together with Eurisy, in cooperation with the Greek Ministry for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection and Ministry of Digital Governance, is organising a workshop in Greece to present operational satellite-based services for disaster risk management.

This workshop aims to create a common understanding among national and regional stakeholders of what satellite-based services can bring during the different phases of disaster risk management, and to facilitate the use of these services from a national to a European level.

Orion Lab's Ioannis Papoutsis will present Artificial Intelligence and big Earth Observation data for enhanced disaster risk management  at 11:50 EEST during the workshop's first panel on Space assets supporting the Disaster Risk Management Cycle.
