Athanasios Marousis received the Dipl.-Ing. Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, the M.Sc. degree in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester (UMIST), UK, as well as the M.Sc. and the Ph.D. degrees from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. He is member of the Telecommunications Systems Laboratory of the Department of Digital Systems, University of Piraeus. His main research focus is on wireless communications systems specializing on wideband channel sounding-characterization-modeling, dynamic channel estimation, performance analysis of mobile communications systems, distributed MIMO techniques, and adaptive space-time processing. He has been involved in many research projects and actions in National and European level. He is a member of IEEE since 1999 and also a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1997.
